Mental health and psychiatric care are important to overall health. Mental illnesses are chronic health conditions—conditions that last a long time and often don’t go away completely—that can continue through the lifespan. Without early diagnosis and treatment, children with mental illness can have problems at home, in school, and in forming friendships. Mental disorders can also interfere with a child’s healthy development, causing problems that can continue into adulthood.

In FY 2023, the organization provided 17,083 hours in psychiatric care to the community.

PREVENTION

Specialized Care: The facility provides a dedicated environment for individuals going through withdrawal from alcohol and other substances, ensuring they receive specialized care from trained professionals.

Risk Mitigation: By offering medically managed withdrawal services, the facility helps mitigate health risks associated with withdrawal symptoms, promoting a safer and more controlled environment than relying solely on hospital settings for medical clearance.

Community Safety: Providing a designated space for withdrawal management contributes to community safety by addressing substance-related issues systematically and reducing the potential strain on general hospital resources.

CARE

Individualized Care:

  • Assessment: Each individual undergoes a thorough assessment to understand their unique needs, medical history, and the severity of substance use.
  • Tailored Treatment Plans: Based on the assessment, personalized treatment plans are crafted, encompassing medical, psychological, and social components to address the specific challenges and goals of each person.
  • Holistic Approach: Health Solutions West recognizes that successful recovery involves treating the whole person—body, mind, and spirit.

RECOVERY

Holistic Approach: Beyond withdrawal management, the facility can offer a holistic approach to healing, addressing not only the physical aspects but also the mental and emotional components of substance use disorders.

Continuum of Care: By serving as a starting point for individuals seeking help, the facility contributes to a continuum of care, connecting individuals with appropriate treatment services and resources for sustained recovery.

Reduced Stigma: Having a dedicated facility for withdrawal management helps reduce the stigma associated with substance use disorders, fostering an environment where individuals feel supported and encouraged to seek help without judgment.
