Heather Hankins, COO/CCO

Heather’s healthcare career began 34 years ago in the Roaring Fork Valley, where she earned her CNA license while working with Valley View Hospital during high school. This early start sparked her passion for patient care and set the stage for a lifelong commitment to the field.

She went on to spend 12 years as an ICU nurse, gaining deep expertise in critical care, patient advocacy, and complex healthcare operations—experience that continues to shape her leadership style.

Heather joined Health Solutions in 2012 and serves as the Chief Operations and Clinical Officer for both Health Solutions and Health Solutions West. As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, she is dedicated to innovation, quality improvement, and expanding access to care, driving the organization’s mission to improve community health.

Outside of work, Heather and her husband enjoy life as empty nesters, spending time with their adult children. She loves swimming, gardening, traveling, and raising miniature Bernedoodles.
